This helps us for a quick assessment

  • Is it about SAM procurement, application consulting or development?
  • Branch and application area (e.g. mechanical engineering, rail, marine)
  • Component size, material, or quantity – if already known
  • Your timeframe

Frequently asked questions regarding the request

What happens after submission, how long does it take, and what about your data.

How quickly will I receive a response to my enquiry?

A dedicated contact person will get in touch within 1 to 2 working days – no ticketing system, and no uninformative automated confirmations. For complex mechanical engineering projects, we'll first ask clarifying questions about the specifications so that the quote is accurate from the start. For quick price information on individual components, our quote calculator is the more direct route, allowing you to see the price range immediately.

Will my design data be treated confidentially?

Yes. Construction data is used solely for processing your request and is not passed on to third parties. A non-disclosure agreement is possible on request and is standard practice when collaborating with industrial clients – just let us know and we’ll clarify that before we exchange data. Manufacturing is carried out in-house in Altenholz near Kiel, not via fluctuating subcontractors.

What documents do I need for an application?

For a reliable assessment, the following would be helpful: CAD data or a drawing, the planned production volume, the component's operating environment (temperature, load, outdoor use), and the desired delivery date. If any of this information is missing, the request is still worthwhile – we will ask for specific details. Photos with main dimensions are also a useful starting point.

Is the request non-binding?

Yes, the inquiry and quote are free and non-binding. There is no obligation, and nothing will be manufactured without your explicit approval. The initial technical assessment of whether a component can be meaningfully produced by 3D printing also costs nothing.

Can I preview the SAM large-format 3D printer?

Yes. The SAM is located in Altenholz near Kiel and can be viewed by appointment – including ongoing production and sample components to familiarise yourself with. For interested parties outside of northern Germany, we will gladly send reference components so that surface and material quality can be assessed. The technical data sheet is available as a PDF on the press page.

What distinguishes an inquiry from the quote calculator here?

The calculator is intended for clearly defined components: upload file, choose material, get an instant quote. This page is for everything that requires consultation – machinery purchase, special projects, larger series or components where it first needs to be clarified which process is suitable. Both routes lead to the same team.
