Your data remains your data.
Many projects are internally sensitive. We respect that.
The choice of 3D printing method depends on function, temperature, load, geometry, and quantity: FDM is suitable for robust functional parts and large formats, SLA for fine details and smooth surfaces, SLS for durable series parts without support structures. Mach-3D reviews every request and recommends the appropriate method – instead of a list, you'll receive a clear recommendation.
STEP or 3MF is the ideal data format for 3D printing because geometry and units are transferred precisely. STL works if the resolution is suitable. A technical drawing with dimensions is also sufficient – Mach-3D checks every file for printability free of charge.
3D printing is worthwhile when iterations need to be fast, geometries are complex, or tooling costs would be too high – often for prototypes, spare parts, and small batch production. CNC remains strong for classic geometries and very tight standard tolerances. Mach-3D in Kiel offers both expertise and process-agnostic advice.
Yes. Mach-3D manufactures components up to 900 × 900 × 1000 mm at a time using the in-house large-format 3D printer SAM in Altenholz near Kiel. A pilot part is often the best way to start, even for a test.
